Our Brand Story

–House of the Handblock –
Woven by Hands, Carried by Heart

🌸 We Come From the Soil of Jaipur

In the narrow gullies of Jaipur, the sound of wooden blocks tapping against cotton cloth has echoed for generations. It’s a rhythm passed from father to son, mother to daughter — a rhythm of survival, of tradition, of silent pride.

We are not just a brand.
We are a legacy. Born from the land of block printing, House of the Handblock is the soul of Jaipur — wrapped in cotton, colored with natural dyes, and brought to life by the hands of artisans who pour their entire heart into every piece.

👤 A Thought That Sparked a Movement

Mr. Sachin Donkhoria, our founder, grew up surrounded by this art — watching fabrics dry under the Rajasthani sun, and hands stained with indigo and love. One day, he asked a simple question:

“If this is our heritage, why is the world forgetting it?”

From that thought, House of the Handblock was born — with one dream:
To revive our handblock heritage. To give our artisans not just work, but dignity, recognition, and income. To show that slow fashion is beautiful, and that sustainability doesn’t mean compromise — it means care.

🧵 The Hands Behind the Fabric

Every tunic, every kaftan, every flowing cotton saree we make — is not made by machine.
It’s made by a man or a woman who smiled when it came out right, who woke up early to carve the perfect block, who taught their children the art instead of letting it disappear.

And when you wear it — you wear that story.

🌿 Fashion That Breathes. Art That Lives.

Our clothes are not only hand-printed and stitched, they are made from organic cotton, dyed naturally, and designed to love your skin and your soul.
